PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light receiving device in which an optical fiber is not inadvertently folded. SOLUTION: When a coupling and fixing member 6 is fixed by screwing a screw 13 in a screw hole 5 through the hole 12 of a fixed part 8 so that a sensor chip 3 with a light receiving sensor 2 on a base plate 4 may be covered with the main body frame 7 of the member 6, the tip part 1A of the optical fiber 1 guiding the light of a flash light emitting tube to the sensor 2 is aligned with the sensor axis of the sensor 2. The tip part 1A is fixed on the 1st fixing and holding part 8 of the frame 7 and the vicinity part of the tip part 1A is fixed at the upper end of a 2nd fixing and holding part 10 extending upward, whereby the sensor 4 side of the optical fiber 1 is held in an up-and-down direction in a somewhat curved state. The optical fiber 1 extended in an opposite direction from the part 10 is fixed at the leading end of a 3rd fixing and holding part 11 extended in a horizontal direction.
