PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain occurrence of an unnecessary notice of danger. SOLUTION: In a train of four-car formation, checking distance is calculated as the sum of correcting distances, or the distance from the four-car stop indicator of the preceding station to the platform end of the preceding station, and inter-end distance, or the distance from the platform end of the preceding station up to the platform end of the next station. Also, a speed-checking pattern is determined according to the braking performance of this train of the four-car formation. It is set in such a way that the train speed becomes zero at the platform end of the next station; in other words, the setting is made so that the train speed becomes zero at a point away by the checking distance from a starting point, or the four-train stop indicator of the preceding station. If the train speed during its traveling exceeds the speed (checking speed) on the speed-checking pattern at the position of the train, an instruction for slowing down the speed is outputted to the operator.
