COLOR IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming method for proofreading by which a white background is kept free from a change and unevenness and the color tone of black dots is kept stable in color plate making and printing steps. SOLUTION: In the color image forming method in which a silver halide photographic material with at least three silver halide emulsion layers whose spectral sensitivity regions do not overlap on the base is imagewise exposed with light in each of the spectral sensitivity regions and color-developed, the sensitive material is subjected to scanning exposure for 1×10-2 to 10.0 sec exposure time as expressed in expression: (E1×S1)/(E2×S2)<0.9, (E1×S1)/(E3×S3)<0.9 and developed with a color developing solution containing at least one compound of formula general: HO-N(R)-L-A and 0-2.0 g/l hydroxylamine to form a color image.
