PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic editor that can edit a diagnostic image signal in a way of explicitly indicating a diagnostic data so as to prevent diagnostic images from being confused in the case of recording and storing diagnostic images in a moving picture state obtained by an ultrasonic wave diagnosing device. SOLUTION: The automatic editor that receives the diagnostic image signal outputted from the ultrasonic wave diagnosing device 2 via input wires 7 and outputs the received diagnostic image signal to an image recorder via output wires 8, outputs a diagnostic date display image signal indicating the diagnostic date to the image recorder for a prescribed time and then outputs the diagnostic image signal when outputting the diagnostic image signal to the image recorder.
