PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fully use the wide band property of a dual loop antenna element itself while keeping directivity of the loop antenna which is now used often. SOLUTION: The antenna unit has two 2L antenna elements 1, 2 forming two loop antenna elements, a coaxial cable 4 which feeds power to each of the 2L antenna elements 1, 2 and a coaxial tube 3 which is disposed between each of the 2L antenna elements 1, 2 and the coaxial cable 4, branches the coaxial cable 4 into two, connects each branch tip directly to a feed point of each of the 2L antenna elements 1, 2 and has characteristic impedance twice as large as the characteristic impedance of the coaxial cable 4 and is almost equal to the impedance of 2L antenna elements 1, 2.
