PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which the occurrence of ghost failure is eliminated even in the case of performing electrification by using a DC voltage contact electrifying system. SOLUTION: In the image forming method to form an image by performing an electrifying process, an exposure process, a developing process and a transfer process by using an electrophotographic sensitive body as an image carrier, the electrification in the electrifying process is performed by using an electrifying member coming into contact with a photoreceptor, and when time required from the electrification to exposure is set as T(s), the potential by electrification of a photoreceptor surface is set as VH(V), the surface potential of the photoreceptor when 10T(s) passes without performing the exposure after the surface of the photoreceptor is electrified at VH(V) is set as V1(V), and the surface potential of the photoreceptor when 10T(s) passes after the image is exposed once and the electrification is performed again after the surface of the photoreceptor is electrified at VH(V) is set as V2(V), V1, V2 and VH satisfy the relation of |(V1-V2)/VH|<=0.020. |
