ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TONER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a toner less in its odor and odor produced at the fixing time and excellent in storage stability, fixability and electrostatic chargeability by effectively deodorizing/removing trace odorous substances produces by the decomposition of a part of the toner due to the slightly remaining odorous substances and the storage environment at the manufacturing time in the ordinary method for manufacturing the toner. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the toner, the toner particles containing at least a resin prepared by polymerizing polymerizable monomers in a water-based medium and coloring agent are treated with a deodorant containing a component extracted from plant before the toner particles are separated from the water-based medium.
