PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for automatic vending machine capable of reducing the heat transfer between a heating chamber and a cooling chamber and saving the energy for heating and cooling when opening a partition plate to sell a commodity. SOLUTION: Before receiving and conveying the commodity in a column positioned at the upper part of the partition plate 6 by an X-Y conveyance mechanism 9 and a bucket 10, operation of a heater 44 and upper and lower internal fans 45 and 50 is stopped and then the partition plate 6 is opened to convey the commodity. The partition plate 6 is closed after conveying the commodity, and the heater 44 and the internal fans 45 and 50 are reoperated, which have been stopped.
