PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device capable of saving energy by utilizing the gravity and the buoyancy, and a conveying system or the like using the driving device. SOLUTION: This driving device comprises a vertically extended casing 2, a gravitational lift body 3 mounted movably vertically in the casing 2, an upper intake port 4 and an intermediate discharge port 5 formed on the casing 2, a liquid 6 stored in the casing 2, a gas inlet passage 7 for communicating an upper position of the liquid 6 and a position of the liquid 6 in the casing 2, a buoyancy lift body 8 dipped in the liquid 6, and an auxiliary power application mechanism 9 for assisting the buoyancy lift body 8 to float and to push up the gravitational lift body 3.
