PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging terminal structure which is simplified to reduce the cost and omit a transformer to avoid lowering the sound quality and improve the sidetone characteristics. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus is composed of a sub-unit 1 having a chargeable battery and a main unit 3 containing a charging circuit for charging the battery of the sub-unit 1 removably mounted on the main unit 3 connected to a telephone line. The sub-unit 1 and the main unit 3 have their respective mutually contactable charging terminals 2, 4. The charging terminal 4 of the main unit 3 is a part of a conductive coil spring 4a which turns to make the charging terminals 2, 4 contactable with each other owing to an elastic deformation of the coil spring 4a when the sub-unit 1 is inserted. The charging terminal 4 of the main unit 3 is covered with an insulation protective cover 13 having a slit 17 for exposing a part of this terminal 4, allowing the charging terminal 2 of the sub-unit 1 to be inserted into the slit 17.
