PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform a commercial transaction of merchandise from a paper medium or all kinds of other media through which the merchandise is introduced. SOLUTION: Symbols representing the merchandise and a provider are prepared by a method for superimposing a barcode capable of specifying the provider on merchandise information of the present barcode system and a completely new writing method, a symbol management data center manages the symbols unitarily, a symbol is attached to the merchandise introduced at all places such as the paper medium, a communication system transmits information data as symbols to the symbol management data center by recognizing the symbols from the medium with a portable terminal having a device capable of recognizing the symbols, and the merchandise information and provider information are extracted from a database in which the transmitted symbols are managed by dedicated software and transmitted together with its user information to the provider. It is possible to buy many kinds of merchandise from a plurality of providers by using such as the above method. |
