PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable automation in fitting a metal base to a bulb for a fluorescent lamp or the like, and to aim at improvement of productivity. SOLUTION: A pin 4 is formed protruded from the center part of the metal base, on top of which is formed a single hole for through insertion. A pair of lead wires 6 are extended from a fluorescent lamp main body 2. On fitting the base metal 3 to the fluorescent lamp main body, the lead wires 6 are extended nearly lineally apart from each other in an extension process, and are molded so that at least tip parts of the lead wires 6 are adjacent to each other in a molding process. Then, the pair of lead wires are twisted with each other in a twisting process, at least the tip parts getting almost in alignment. Further, in an insertion-through process, the fluorescent lamp main body 2 is turned with its axis line as a center back and forth, while the base metal 3 is moved nearer, so that the lead wires 6 are inserted through.
