PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film winding device having an operation part by which winding operation is easily performed and which can be housed when it is not used. SOLUTION: This film winding device 11 is attachably/detachably attached to the base of a camera 10. A slide lever 20 projects in erect posture on the base of the device 11. When performing the winding operation, the lever 20 is operated to slide in a winding operation direction. When the device 11 is not used, the lever 20 is temporarily rotated in a reverse direction to the winding operation direction so as to release its lock in the erect posture, and then it is operated to move in the winding operation direction, whereby it is rotated and tilted down in the aperture 31 of the base.
