PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with a driving system alleviating extreme deterioration in display quality by making ionic impurities in a liquid crystal panel migrate and diffuse throughout the liquid crystal panel with electric signals and suppressing local gradation defects. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device constructed by including a liquid crystal layer, in which the liquid crystal is sealed, and two substrates holding the liquid crystal layer in between and having a plurality of electric signal lines, wired in the display surface, including gate bus lines 3 and source bus lines 4 which impart the electric signals to the liquid crystal layer making the ionic impurities immixed therein migrate, the liquid crystal display device is characterized by regularly imparting the electric signals which generate Coulomb force attracting or repelling the ionic imprities to the respective electric signal lines.
