ANTENNA AND NON-CONTACT DISCRIMINATING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-sized antenna which can be adjusted easily for matching and the coil of which has a loop length of >=1/4 wavelength. SOLUTION: This large-size antenna 1 is constituted of a first coil section 2 composed of a first coil outer-peripheral section 2A having an opened bottom and a U-shape and a first coil adjoining section 2B connected to one end of the section 2A, and a second coil section 3 composed of a second coil outer- peripheral section 3A having an opened top and a U-shape and a second coil adjoining section 3B connected to one end of the section 3A. The first and second coil adjoining sections 2B and 3B form an intertwisted structure and are supported on a substrate 4. The first and second coil sections 2 and 3 are connected in parallel with each other and driven with the same polarity.
