PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide receiving terminal equipment having a right protecting function by controlling storage, reproduction allowance or inhibition at each content in a general data distribution service. SOLUTION: The right protecting unit and a storage unit are added to a conventional digital broadcast service receiver. The protecting unit analyzes meta data existing in each content, and controls to store or reproduce the content received based on control information described in meta data. The storage unit records only the contents judged to be allowed for storage by the protecting unit.
