PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit that can reduce a noise due to an error caused in the image processing step through signal processing with high accuracy. SOLUTION: K-sets of image processing section 20, 30, 40 included in a digital still camera 10 convert received image data 16 into output image data 42 with a dynamic range narrower than that of the data 16. Differential arithmetic units 28, 38, 48 calculate errors caused among input and output signals of the image processing sections 20, 30, 40. An error level arithmetic section 60 classifies the obtained error data into levels depending on the magnitude of the data and adjusts a processing parameter of a noise reduction circuit 70 being a post-stage signal processing depending on the levels. |
