PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device where reflected light from a user is intercepted and the utilization efficiency of light for displaying picture is improved. SOLUTION: A correction lens 12 correcting an optical path and a reflection type linearly polarizing plate 13 are arranged in front of a display element 11 on which picture is displayed. The plate 13 is arranged so that linearly polarized light from the element 11 may be reflected. A 1/4 wavelength plate 14 and a concave mirror 15 are arranged in sequence so as to face to the plate 13 on an optical path where emitted light from the element 11 is reflected by the plate 13. By adjusting polarization by the plate 13 and the plate 14, the emitted light from the element 11 is visually confirmed by the user in a state where light quantity is hardly lowered in the optical path. The plates 13 and 14 function as a circularly polarized light selection element for the reflected light from an illuminated user's face 17, thereby, the reflected light is removed. |
