<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for detecting and predicting a congestion pattern based on feedback. SOLUTION: The network feedback is received in the form of binary feedback message. The network feedback can contain an arbitrary, appropriate, feedback massage as well as a packet loss event or ECN mark. The network feedback can be used to predict the time when possibility of congestion is high. Based on the prediction, the behavior of an end user in a system is modified to suppress congestion. The method where, in particular, the data packet transmitted by the end user is delayed until a predicted congestion is relaxed means that a predictive and preventive means, not a reactive means, is taken to cope with a network congestion problem.</p> |
