<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incoming call control system which can transfer an incoming call automatically to a substitute terminal when the receiving terminal cannot be used. SOLUTION: In an ATM exchanger 43, an address of a terminal, which is to be a substitute terminal (transfer destination terminal) 45 when a terminal under the control of the exchanger itself cannot receive an incoming call, is registered beforehand. The substitute terminal may be not only a terminal under the control of the exchanger itself but also a terminal under the control of the other exchanger. When the receiving terminal 44 cannot be used, the address of the substitute terminal 45 registered beforehand in the ATM exchanger is confirmed and a routing process is practiced according to the address to transfer the incoming call to the substitute terminal 45. It is also possible to inform a transmission side terminal 41 of the incoming call transfer to the substitute terminal 45.</p> |
