PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the reduction of the number of the parts, the reduction of the installation space and the reduction of the assembly man-hour of a developer residual amount detector in a developer container. SOLUTION: The apertures 25b and 25c of the developer container 25 are provided. The light guides 25 and 26 in which clogging parts 45b and 46b are respectively integrally molded with light guide parts 45a and 46a are used at the apertures 25b and 25c. The light guides 45, 46 and the developer container 25 are all made as polyethylene moldings and are welded.
