DISK ROTATING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and low-cost disk rotating mechanism that can ensure a stable centering function of a disk. SOLUTION: The disk rotating mechanism is provided with plate spring- shaped elastic bodies 8b placed on a turntable 6 in its radial direction and with a centering claw 8a that is formed on the plate spring-shaped elastic bodies 8b and engaged with an inner circumferential face 20a of a center hole of the disk 20. The plate spring-shaped elastic bodies 8b are formed such that a component force in a vertical direction of a force received by the bodies 8b from the inner circumferential face 20a of the center hole of the disk 20 is directed in a radial direction of the turntable 6 in the case of mounting the disk 20 on the turntable 6 and such that the plate spring-shaped elastic bodies 8b are deformed in a direction along the center of the turntable 6 when the disk 20 is depressed onto the turntable 6.
