LEADER TAPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leader tape which is enhanced in the strength of a segment coupling a connecting member at the front end of the leader tape. SOLUTION: This leader tape includes a leader tape body and a connecting member coupled to the front end of this leader tape body. The connecting member is coupled to the leader tape body by penetrating a rod-like connecting bar into a cavity part formed by returning the front end of the leader tape body. The regions of the leader tape body superposed on each other by returning of the front end of the leader tape body are fused to each other through a fusion layer consisting of a thermally fusible resin and the degree of orientation of the fusion boundary after fusion determined by a Raman band is specified to >=1.5 to <=2.8.
