HARD DISK DRIVE, RECORDER AND VIDEO RECORDING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder and a video recording system which lowers the incorrect erasure and the possibility of overwriting of data. SOLUTION: The video recording system is provided with an imaging unit and a recording device 10 to record image data transmitted from the imaging unit. The recording device 10 is provided with a recording device main body 60 and a hard disk drive 30 mounted on the recording device main body 60 in a detachable manner. The hard disk drive 30 has a change preventive switch 160 which can be operated from the outside and disables the change of data stored in the hard disk drive. The change preventive switch 160 controls an imposible signal output circuit 140 which outputs an imposible signal to disable the change of data. An interface circuit 26 provided in the recording device main body 60 disables the change of data of the hard disk drive 30, when the imposible signal is inputted.
