PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for solving the problem, in a centering work of a flanged flexible shaft coupling, that workability is bad because a magnet is slipped out of place or dropped during the work in the case of a rotary apparatus having a small or medium size when executing the centering work of a coupling of the rotary apparatus by using a magnet stand-type dial gage. SOLUTION: A bolt having a notched internal thread joinable with a connection external thread to the magnet stand of a dial gage connection body terminal on the head part of a coupling bolt. A dial gage joined body joined with the bolt is fixed to a motor side flange by a nut. The dial gage is set on the bolt head part on the pump side, and a measuring needle is set in contact with a flange on the pump side, and center deflection can be measured quickly and stably without being slipped out of place or dropped, to thereby execute the centering work.
