PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an apparatus for distributing music data and its method for providing a place where a user presents his/her composed piece of music, distributing the composed piece of music for pay, and distributing the distribution charge to users involved in the music composition. SOLUTION: A musical element provided by a user is registered in a music database 23a as music data. When a user designates music data that the user wants to obtain, relevant music data are read from the music database 23a, and are distributed to the user. When the user adds a new musical element to distributed music data and requests its registration, the new musical element provided by the user is added to the relevant music data to update the registration of the music database 23a. The distribution charge is collected from a user to whom music data are distributed, and then the collected distribution charge is distributed to the user who have provided the musical element of the distributed music data. |
