PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a planographic printing plate by which plate making conditions for a negative image forming material for an IR laser for direct plate making are adjusted and the quality of the resulting planographic printing plate is kept constant so as to continuously form uniform images. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a planographic printing plate by which a negative original plate of the planographic printing plate with a photosensitive layer containing an IR absorbent, a compound which generates a radical or an acid under heat and a polymerizable compound or a crosslinkable compound on the base is exposed and processed by using an automatic processing machine provided with a developing part, a washing part, a finisher part and planographic printing plate conveying members, planographic printing plate conveying rollers are disposed at the inlet and/or outlet of the washing part of the automatic processing machine in such a way that the rollers come in contact with the photosensitive layer of the planographic printing plate and the rotational speed of the planographic printing plate conveying rollers is different from the planographic printing plate conveying speed. |
