<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for laying an optical fiber cable where the optical fiber cable is laid in an underground conduit line, such as a sewage pipe, without directly exerting tension on the optical fiber cable or without relaxing the optical fiber cable, the optical fiber cable is laid in the upper side of the conduit line to a main pipe in which plural optical fiber cables are laid and also an expensive robot is not needed for laying work. SOLUTION: A tension member 25, having high strength and low elongation is arranged, so as to slide in the longitudinal direction along the optical fiber cable 20, the tension member 25 is towed to be drawn into the underground conduit line 1, tension is exerted on the tension member 25 between manholes 2 and 3, the tension member 25 stretches almost linearly within the underground conduit line 1, and the optical fiber cable 20 is laid in the upper side of the underground conduit line 1.</p> |
