PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of an information processing system equipped with multiple processors. SOLUTION: On a ROM 11, a program including instructions for stopping the supply of clock signals from a clock generator 13 to a CPU 17 or from a clock generator 14 to a CPU 18 in addition to instructions that the CPU 17 or 18 processes is stored. The clock control unit 12 reads an instruction of the program out of the ROM 11 and stops supplying the clock signal from the clock generator 13 when the instruction is an instruction for stopping the supply of the clock signal to the CPU 17 or stops supplying the clock signal from the clock generator 14 when the instruction is an instruction for stopping the supply of the clock signal to the CPU 18.
