<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit contents provided from a Web server to a portable terminal device by processing the contents so as to be suitable for the portable terminal device. SOLUTION: When the portable terminal device inputs the URL of a contents server for providing the identification information of a user and contents, many corresponding contents servers are requested to provide contents. When the contents are provided by a corresponding contents server in response to the contents request, the contents are converted by reducing the size of the contents, subtractive color and compressing the contents in accordance with the standard of the portable terminal device, and the converted contents are subsequently transmitted to the portable terminal device through a network. The use charge for the contents provided from the contents server corresponding to the URL is subjected to payment processing on the basis of the information of the user.</p> |
