PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alternator for vehicle which can control the temperature rise of a stator by enlarging a heat-conducting surface of a rare wire and realizing superior cooling effect. SOLUTION: The coil end groups 12f, 12r of a stator winding 12 are formed by rolling, and a smooth heat conducting surface is formed to the coil ends in the circumferential direction. Flowing paths 25, 26 for distributing the cooling water 15 are provided to rear brackets 1, 2. Moreover, the area between the coil end groups 12f, 12r and front and rear brackets 1, 2 is filled with a heat conducting filler 23.
