PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio system capable of appropriately regulate the volume of a piece of music sound outputted by audio equipment. SOLUTION: Host equipment obtains (S12) a volume value set in its own equipment, and when the volume value is the maximum, the transmission of the volume value set in the audio equipment is requested, and the volume value transmitted from the audio equipment is obtained (S15). When the volume value of the audio equipment is a fixed value or more, the host equipment displays a confirmation (17) dialog or the like at a display. When any confirmation input is not present, the host equipment instructs (S20) the change of the volume value to the audio equipment. When receiving the instruction data, the host equipment changes (S35) the volume value of the electronic volume to an initial value. When receiving the audio data transmitted from the host equipment, the audio equipment outputs (S37) a piece of music sound following the changed volume value.
