PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic development processing device which is little in the volume of a processing liquid, facilitates maintenance and does not require the withdrawing of the processing liquid even during the shutdown. SOLUTION: This automatic development processing device has a transporting belt which has at least one projecting parts for holding photosensitive materials formed by projecting toward the transporting surfaces of the photosensitive materials and a processing liquid coating application section which is disposed below this transporting means and applies the processing liquid to the photosensitive surfaces of the photosensitive materials transported by the transporting means. The transporting belt is gas impermeable in the segments where the projecting parts for holding the photosensitive materials are not formed. The processing liquid coating application section has a processing liquid container which has an aperture atop the same and in which the processing liquid is housed and a coating application means for applying the processing liquid in this processing liquid container to the photosensitive surfaces of the photosensitive materials. The processing liquid container caps the aperture with the segments of the transporting belt where there are no projecting parts for holding the photosensitive materials during the downtime of the processing of the photosensitive materials.
