PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce flow force acting on a main spool in a spool valve constituted by incorporating a subspool and a poppet in the hollow main spool. SOLUTION: An annular groove part 3d for communicating ports 6i, 6f is formed in an outer peripheral part of the main spool 3, and an internal passage 10c is formed inside the main spool. An introduction oil passage 3b for introducing the oil flowing into the annular groove part 3d from the port 6i into the internal passage 10c and a circular notch 3c for making the oil introduced into the internal passage 10c to let it flow out into the port 6f from an end fringe part on a groove part side of a land part 3g are formed.
