PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball joint capable of restricting a rise of the rotating torque. SOLUTION: This ball joint is provided with a ball stud formed of a spherical head part and a grip part extended from the spherical head part, a bearing for holding the spherical head part freely to be rocked and turned and having a bearing opening part, and a housing having a housing opening for projecting the grip part of the ball stud in one end thereof and a housing bottom part in the other end thereof, and a part near the housing opening part is displaced to the axis center side when assembling this ball joint. In the condition before assembling the ball joint, the outer diameter of a first cylindrical part of a housing formed at the housing opening part side is formed smaller than the outer diameter of a second cylindrical part formed at the housing bottom part side, and a step part for connecting the first cylindrical part and the second cylindrical part is positioned close to the housing opening part side of the equator line vertical to the axis passing the center of the spherical head part of the ball stud, and when the housing opening part side end of the housing is displaced toward the axis center side, the first cylindrical part is deformed.
