PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot-dip galvanizing pot being capable of lining in a short time without requiring special technology, having lightweight, and being less expensive than those made of ceramics. SOLUTION: In the coating pot of hot-dip galvanizing equipment where a steel strip is immersed in a hot-dip galvanizing pot to apply plating to the surface of the steel strip, the coating pot is lined with ceramic fiber blocks. Further, each of the ceramic fiber blocks is compressed to (250 to 350) kg/cm3.
