PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device that excellently keeps color reproducibility with respect to a transparent recording medium such as an OHP sheet. SOLUTION: The color image forming device is provided with a medium mode selection means 1 that selects any recording medium mode among modes including a mode using at least a transparent recording medium, an image type identification means 2 that identifies a type of color image data, and a color conversion processing means 3 that changes combinations of color materials required for image forming depending on the recording medium mode and a kind of color image data to conduct color conversion processing. Furthermore, the medium mode selection means 1 and the image type identification means 2 are provided with a medium tone pattern control means 4 that controls medium tone screen pattern required for image forming depending on the recording medium mode and the kind of color image data. |
