PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of transferring an image with high accuracy, irrespective of various sizes of a transfer material, and capable of always stably obtaining an image of good quality, as for a transfer system image forming device where a contact transfer system transfer means in introduced as a transfer means. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with a constant current control means 21 for outputting with a prescribed current value to a contact transfer electrifier 16, and a constant voltage control means 22 for outputting with a prescribed voltage value to the electrifier 16, and the control of the transfer means can be switched to either of a constant current control or a constant voltage control, and when the volumetric resistance value of the electrifier 16 is equal to or exceeding a prescribed value, the constant current control is performed, on the other hand, when the volumetric resistance value is below the prescribed value, the control is switched in accordance with the size of the passing transfer material. |
