DIRECTION CORRECTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direction correcting device being miniaturized through a reduction of the overall device length along propulsion direction, while having good durability and controllability. SOLUTION: The direction correcting device is mounted within an end device which is propelled into the ground. The direction correcting device includes a projecting spherical seat 18 formed on an inner cylinder 17 extending in the propulsion direction D1; a recessed spherical seat 21 slidably fitted over the projecting spherical seat 18 to receive thrust imparted at least to the end device; and a pressing means 26 for radially pressing the inner cylinder 17 to cause rotation with the spherical center of the spherical seat 18 as the center of rotation.
