PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switchgear which permits efficiently generating electromagnetic force by a light-weight and high-rigidity movable coil and has good response and high reliability. SOLUTION: For the switchgear comprises a switch part 3 composed of a stationary electrode 1 and a movable electrode 2, a movable shaft 5 and an operating mechanism 9 having stationary coils 11 and 12, a movable coil 10 and contact pressure-making open springs 13, the movable coil 10 is adapted so as to stand high-speed movement by electromagnetic force and shock attendant on the impact on the stationary coil by the movement by using a rigidity- reinforcing means such as containing it in a case by resin molding, thereby providing the switchgear as one having good response and high reliability.
