PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for retrieving a broadcast program in a radio receiver for digital broadcasting for efficiently searching for a broadcast program desired by a user. SOLUTION: The method for retrieving the broadcast program in the radio receiver for the digital broadcasting having a DAB receiver, a microcomputer for controlling the DAB receiver including a CPU and a memory, a user operation input unit, a display unit for recognizing a receiving state, a program for controlling the input unit stored in a memory, the display unit and the DAB receiver, and a DAB control program for controlling the DAB receiver including the broadcast program retrieving program, comprises the steps of starting the broadcast program retrieval program, switching a broadcast program retrieval mode, selecting an item and setting conditions by a keying operation, retrieving by the selection of the set item and the conditions, selecting the broadcast program from the retrieved result, judging whether the retrieval is again conducted or not if the retrieval cannot be executed, repeating setting by the conditions when retrieved, and finishing the retrieval program when not retrieved again.
