PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem such that a device becomes expensive as a whole since two nonvolatile memories such as EPROM and FLASH ROM, a buffer and a control circuit are required for a conventional program loading system. SOLUTION: In this program loading system, when a second storage part 3 is connected to a microprocessor 1, a memory selecting part 8 invalidates the second storage part 3, and the microprocessor 1 is initialized according to an initializing program stored in the second storage part 3 and adds or changes a variety of function programs and stores them in a first storage part 2 by accepting an additional function program from an additional function program holding part 5 according to a loading program. Therefore, since it is not necessary to mount the expensive second storage part 3 for each device, the cost of the device can be reduced.
