PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof work method for a porous steel plate bed having a high resistance against peeling which can be built with less work processes at a low cost. SOLUTION: This is a waterproof work method for waterproofing a porous steel plate bed 1 by forming an elastic high polymer layer 5 on a porous steel plate bed 1 with numerous holes drilled. At first, a bottom plate 2 is tacked via gap S on the bottom surface of the porous steel plate bed 1. Next, an elastic high polymer material is sprayed to the top of the porous steel plate bed 1. The elastic high polymer material flows into the numerous holes 1a of the porous steel plate bed 1 and further this material flows to part of a gap S between the bed 1 and the bottom plate 2 and hardens.
