COMMUNICATION METHOD AND PORTABLE TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To register URL(Uniform Resource Locator) of a large number of sites as bookmark without being affected by memory capacity of a portable telephone. SOLUTION: A portable telephone 11 is connected through a portable telephone network 12 to a gateway server 14, and that gateway server 14 is connected through the Internet 15 to a contents server 19a and a mail server 19b of a contents provider 18. The portable telephone 11 makes data for registering the URL of a selected site to the contents server 19a as bookmark into mail and transmits it to the mail server 19b. The mail server 19b receives the mail transmitted from the portable telephone 11. On the basis of the mail received by the mail server 19b, the contents server 19a generates a URL for user and stores the URL of the site into the storage region of the contents server shown by the URL for user.
