PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more efficiently set image forming conditions in a display device. SOLUTION: The display device is provided with a display means and a touch panel consisting of touch switches. Multiple setting screens for setting image forming conditions classified into multiple hierarchies and data of the initial screen for displaying the image forming conditions of the standard state are stored beforehand. In response to an operation of an operator, a setting screen corresponding to the items for the image forming conditions of a higher order hierarchy is switched to a setting screen corresponding to the items for the image forming conditions of a lower order hierarchy, to be displayed on the touch panel. When a prescribed period has been elapsed without any operation by the operator after a setting screen is changed over to a prescribed one, the display is changed over to another display screen different from the initial screen without being reset to the standard state, and when a prescribed period has further been elapsed, the image forming conditions are reset to the standard state to change over the display to the initial screen. |
