<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fireproof packing wherewith an opening having a large diameter can be closed in case of fire, and which can withstand the pressure of the big fire and the hydraulic pressure of fire extinguishing water and ensure direct application even to meandering piping and an inclined through path. SOLUTION: In the fireproof packing for the wiring 4 or a cable duct passing through the opening 2 of a wall 3, a swelling material 10 is at least partially distributed and held in a peripheral direction within a noncombustible woven fabric tube 5. A plurality of folds 6 are formed inside the tube 5, which is formed of a dense inorganic fiber material, and coupled to the tube 5 with a thread 8 undergoing melting or destruction in case of the fire. The folds 6 are sewn on the opposed surfaces of the tube 5 along respective fold legs 7 so as to split the tube 5 into a plurality of chambers 9, which at least partially house the swelling material 10.</p> |
