PURPOSE: A method for controlling a special function key is provided to transfer data without an error by executing a correct action as remembering the make or break state in byte 2 of IR(InfraRed) packet data format even if the special function key state in IR packet data format is lost by the outer environment and obstacles. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of receiving and storing a code signal in an IR packet data format generated by simultaneously pressing a function key and general key from a wireless keyboard(202), waiting for the next data after memorizing the stored values for special function key make and general key in spite of not receiving the data by an obstacle in the course of receiving the code signal in the IR packet data format(204), and an AC-IR6 receiver receiving the break in the byte 2 of IR packet data format when the code signal is received by pressing the general key in case of removing the obstacle, transmitting the fact that the stored special function key is broken by the make to a PC, and outputting the general key(205).
