YELLOW TONER AND DEVELOPER FOR YELLOW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yellow toner having good light resistance, OHP (overhead projector) transparency, transferability and fixability, ensuring stable image density even in the evaluation of a printed-out image and free of fog. SOLUTION: The yellow toner contains at least a bonding resin, a yellow colorant and an oxycarboxylic acid. The yellow colorant is C.I.Pigment Yellow 93 and/or C.I.Solvent Yellow 162 (described in the fourth edition of the Color Index). When the content of the yellow colorant is represented by A (mg) and the mass of the oxycarboxylic acid extracted from 1 g yellow toner with an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution having 0.1 mol/l concentration is represented by B (mg), the expressions A/B=5-1,000 and B=0.10-3.50 are satisfied.
