PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for teaching a mounting position which reduces a burden on an operator, related to a device for directing a land position according to operation of the operator. SOLUTION: The mounting position teaching method is provided where the coordinates of a region around a land corresponding to an electrode of a designated part are calculated based on a mounting data representing a part mounting position on a printed substrate and a form data representing the form of a part (steps 41 and 42). The imaging position of a camera is moved according to the calculated coordinates to image the surrounding region of the land (steps 43 and 44).
