The frame for spectacles has connecting zones formed in the edges of the lenses, each zone being non-linear and having a bisector. The frame supports clip plates (21,31) to receive the connecting zones on the lenses, at least one of the plates being formed in a movable frame section (5). A wedge assembly (6) holds the connecting surfaces together.
